Hello, my name is Lisa deBelloy and I am excited to be Marsing Elementary’s new school counselor. I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work and a minor in Family Studies from Boise State University in 2015. I went on to receive my Master’s degree the following year from Boise State University as well and graduated in 2016.
I come to Marsing with experience working in crisis prevention, community outreach, and counseling for adults and children. Most recently I worked with adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the community where I focused on ways to help individuals live successfully in the community. Through my work experiences, I have developed a passion in working with children in the education system as I believe in my ability to help children become their best selves and motivate them to success in many areas of their lives.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Boise Idaho. I have two daughters, Taylor and Izzy. Taylor will be off to college this fall at Idaho State University where she will be pursuing her Nursing degree. Izzy will be entering the 5th grade this year! My husband, Kevin owns a successful construction company where he focuses on residential remodels, and constructing new commercial buildings. Our family loves the outdoors, and traveling. We spend most of our spare time camping, paddle boarding, traveling to new places, bike riding, and spending time with extended family.
I am excited to start working with the students and families of Marsing elementary, and look forward to meeting everyone.
