The Goal of the Fresh Fruit an Vegetable Grant is to help create a healthier school environment by providing healthier food choices by.....

• Expanding the variety of fruits and veggies children experience

• Increase children's fruit and veggie consumption

• Help make a difference in children's diets that will impact their health now and in the future.

The grant will give us the opportunity to provide a tasting for each elementary student as well as the adults in the classroom to help model positive eating habits. This provides an opportunity to discuss nutrition, health and manners.
